A Place for Everyone!

Marydale Park is the Catholic Youth Organization’s (C.Y.O.) next and most exciting community service project.  Marydale Park will be the province’s first completely barrier free, outdoor recreation centre – right here in Hamilton, Ontario.  Marydale Park will be open to the general public for their use and enjoyment. 

The park will feature some very unique barrier-free amenities for the 91,000 Hamiltonians that have some type of health condition or disability that limits the kind, or amount of activity they can do.  Marydale Park will provide everyone with the opportunity to enjoy outdoor recreation and camping regardless of their abilities.  No one will be left out at Marydale Park.

The C.Y.O. - A History of Service to Children

We are building Marydale Park for the entire community because we truly believe that every child deserves to play. Since 1973, the C.Y.O. has been helping children with special needs in our community by intergrating them into our outdoor education, camping and athletic programs and services.  Many of these children have physical and developmental disabilities and would not otherwise have been able to enjoy an outdoor camping experience.
