The C.Y.O. currently employs 13-15 full time staff, along with several hundred seasonal volunteers throughout the year.

C.Y.O. Camp Brébeuf is looking for Outdoor Education Programmers for our Fall 2011 season.

C.Y.O. Camp Brébeuf is a Catholic not-for-profit outdoor education centre located in Rockwood, Ontario. We provide quality year-round Outdoor Education programming to groups from both Catholic and Public schools boards as well as private groups.

We are looking for enthusiastic people with experience and a passion for working with youth. Ideal candidates will have teaching experience in a camp setting, preferably facilitating various sizes of groups. Possessions of outdoor certification such as ORCKA, Challenge courses, or NLS are also an asset.

As a programmer responsibilities would include:

Attending all sessions of training week

Facilitating and assisting with scheduled programs such as high ropes, canoeing, orienteering, environmental studies, games, and evening campfires

Chaperoning students at night in cabins and supervision at meal times

Leading prayers and occasional liturgies

Assisting with daily cleaning and maintenance duties

Following of all camp policies

Outdoor Educators work day or night shifts from Monday to Friday. Room and board is included for all staff for the duration of their contract as well as a competitive salary.

Our fall season runs for September to December with available contract extension for winter and spring.
