 Counselor in Training (C.I.T.):
Our Counselor-in-Training (C.I.T.) Program is geared towards our oldest campers that are interested in learning to take a leadership role in camp. We believe that a strong C.I.T. program should not only teach you to be a good counselor, but should also teach you to be an effective leader so that you can use the skills you learn at school, home, work or wherever life may take you. Our goal is for each C.I.T. to learn a little bit more about themselves as individuals, team members and leaders - this will prepare the C.I.T.’s to put this knowledge into practice by summer's end.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
Leadership Topics
C.I.T.’s will meet regularly with their C.I.T. director and the rest of the C.Y.O. Day Camp staff and campers. Together you will get involved in activities and group discussions to help you learn about:
- Goal Setting
- Communication
- Teamwork and Group Dynamics
- Conflict Resolution
- Perception
- Program Planning
- Time Management
- Working with Homesickness
- Bullying
- Disciplining Campers
- And more...

ENROLLMENT DETAILS AND DATES:
Limited Enrollment
This unique program is offered to a limited number of young people .Our program will run for 6 weeks from Monday, July 12th – Friday, August 27th
Please note the minimum prerequisites for each program:
- Junior C.I.T. ‘s must have completed Grade 8 as of June 2010
- Senior C.I.T. ’s must have completed Grade 9 as of June 2010
CIT Application
Because space in the C.I.T. program is limited, we ask that all candidates fill out the application form. Once this is received, you will be contacted for a telephone interview. After the interview process, only the candidates that are accepted into the program will be contacted for further registration.
